Baby Talk - provided by the SJHS Hospital education department, a playtime class for moms & babies.

BODY BLAST- A challenging cardiovascular & strength training workout. Try intervals of speed & coordination training followed by muscle conditioning.

BOXINGgives you a sense of how a boxer trains.  Jab, hook and duck your way around the ring.  

CARDIO SCULPT try 40-45minutes of traditional hi-lo aerobic choreography.  Finish off with balance  & stretching.

DANCERCISE– a class that leads you through a great aerobic workout while dancing to a variety of music styles.

DYNAMIC STRENGTH A challenging ½ hr workout for developing muscular balance & strength using the resist-a-ball.  Prior experience using the  ball recommended, but not required.  

EXERSIT-a full hour chair based total body workout, using a variety of group activities to improve mobility and strength. 
(Sign- up is required!) This class runs in sessions. Non-members must pay a fee.

FITNESS WALK PLUS a workout program based on walking and a variety of group activities to improve balance, coordination and strength.

JUST STEP– the names says it-60 minutes of exciting step choreography.  

LEGS & BUTT - Want to change the shape of your legs, hips and buttocks? This is the class for you! (Class runs for ½ hr.)

ON THE BALL-1/2hr complete workout with the resist-a-ball, focusing on developing a strong core. (abs & lower back)  

PILATESCreate a longer, leaner body through a precise series of movements. Each exercise focuses on breathing form and execution. Concentration is placed on your core- abdominal/ pelvis to create strength and flow throughout the routine.

POWER FLEX-ENDURANCE a barbell-based weight-training workout designed to develop muscular endurance.   Class format: warm-up, Squats, Chest, Triceps, Lunge/Plie`s, Back/Hamstrings, Biceps, Shoulders, Abdominals & cool-down/ stretch.   Routines are changed every 6-8weeks for strength gains.  

POWER FLEX-STRENGTH a barbell-based weight-training workout designed to increase muscular strength using drop sets.  Begin each track with a heavy weight and drop the weight 1/3 the way through, finishing the track with a moderate weight.  Very Challenging.  Same format as PF-endurance.

RESIST-A-BALL (abdominals)- 1/2hr targeted to improving abdominal strength & endurance while developing balance between the abs & low back muscle groups.  Equipment: used-resist-a-ball, medicine/weighted balls and/or body bars.  

Spin (simultaneous group bike riding) A spin bicycle looks like a professional racing bike mounted on a stationary solid frame. While spinning you will workout the legs in a continual and steady pace. You can adjust the resistance with the adjustable lever found in the handlebars and you can simulate biking as if going uphill or downhill. Every part of the body is stimulated by this exercise. Spinning classes, are 30 and 45 minute sessions of group biking to music, guided by an instructor.

STEP BASICS - learn the basic movements & patterns used in all step classes.  Great for anyone who likes to keep it simple.  

TRANS- YOGA - Build core strength & enhance flexibility while reducing stress. This program coordinates breath with movement, creating a flowing (vinyasa) series of traditional hatha yoga postures that both revitalizes and calms the mind, body, and spirit. All levels welcome to attend!

TOTAL CONDITIONING–a workout that hits it all.   Improves strength, balance, and stability while providing a great cardiovascular workout.  

YOGACISE- a 1/2hr yoga based exercise class with complete stretching for the whole Body & Spirit, concluding with 5-8 minute relaxation segment.
