• Cardiac Catheterization – Our new cardiac catheterization lab uses the most advanced technology and is conveniently located in our Regional Medical Center. During the proce-dure, our physicians insert a catheter into a blood vessel and send it all the way to the heart to diagnose and make decisions regarding treatment of coronary artery disease and other cardiac conditions.
   
• Stress Tests are common cardiac screenings which use graded exercise or pharmacological agents to challenge the heart. During this procedure, the patient’s status is monitored under the supervision of a physician.
   
• Echocardiograms are non-invasive tests that use ultrasound to view images of the heart for diagnostic purposes.
   
• Pulmonary Function is a series of tests that measure how well your lungs are working by measuring volumes and flows within them. Advanced testing by body plethymography and bronchial challenge testing for the diagno-sis of asthma are also available. 
   
• 24-hour Holter Monitoring records heart activity over a 24-hour period to detect abnormal heart rhythms. 
   
• EKG (Electrocardiogram) is a recording of the electrical activity of the heart for diagnostic purposes. 
   
• EEG (Electroencephalogram) is a non-inva-sive technique for measuring electrical activity within the brain for diagnostic purposes.
   
• Respiratory Care describes all pulmonary services ranging from arterial blood gas analysis (measures pressure of gases to assess cardiopulmonary status) to oxygen and bronchodilator treatment.
