South Jersey Healthcare offers a broad range of outpatient mental health services. Whether a client needs short-term counseling for a difficult emotional issue or intensive therapy to avoid hospitalization, SJH Behavioral Health Services provide programs for all ages and all income levels, including pastoral care. All of our services operate under the charity care policy of South Jersey Healthcare. In addition to our sliding scales, we accept Medicare, Medicaid and many insurance programs.
 
Comprehensive Therapy Programs
SJH Counseling Services – Vineland Counseling Service provides a full range of counseling and psychiatric services to families, couples, groups and individuals, regardless of their ability to pay. Our approach is holistic: we respect an individual’s physical, social, spiritual, intellectual and emotional resources. Our therapists are trained in a variety of disciplines and include clinical social workers, school psychologists, pastoral counselors and marriage and family therapists. All of our Masters-level clinicians are licensed in their specific fields. Outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication monitoring are available.

Child and Adolescent Partial Care Programs – Our holistic approach to child and adolescent mental health helps 6 to 17 year-olds find better pathways to healthy development. Our staff work with teachers, school social workers and nurses, physicians, outpatient therapists, case managers, religious representatives and others to establish treatment goals for our clients. We address the far-reaching concerns of every client and their most important system: their family.  

Child and Adolescent Partial Care programs are available at SJH Bridgeton Health Center and SJH Elmer Hospital. The programs operate from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. during the school year and from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. during the summer months. Free transportation is provided.
Adult Partial Care Program – This intensive outpatient behavioral health treatment program assists individuals experiencing a period of significant emotional stress. The program is designed for people with symptoms that seriously impact their daily functioning, who are hoping to avoid hospitalization or have been discharged from inpatient treatment. Clients can refer themselves or receive a referral from a therapist, a doctor or another party. Our Master’s -level, licensed clinicians provide a broad range of services, from medication management to group and family therapy under the supervision of a psychiatrist
 
The Adult Partial Care Program is available to individuals, ages 18 and older, for a period of approximately two to three weeks on week days from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Free transportation is available for Cumberland County residents.

  • Bi-polar disorder
  • Relationship problems
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Difficulty coping
  • Low self-esteem
  • Medication adjustment
  • Addiction issues (when in conjunction with primary mental health issues)
  • Codependency
